The 6 types of Working Genius

Throughout my career I’ve been told that I have a gift for ‘reading the room’, bringing out and refining great ideas and getting everyone motivated and on the same page. Discovering The 6 types of working genius gave me the words to describe these natural talents and why I get such joy from working in this way. The Working Genius assessment is 20% personality and 80% productivity. People who understand their genius show up to work happier, are more effective, and play well with others. As a Working Genius Certified Facilitator, I’m equipped to analyze and apply results to help individuals and teams leverage Working Genius to be more innovative, strategic, and effective.

So, What is Working Genius anyway?

Working with a Certified Facilitator can transform work for people by helping them:

• Understand why they have been successful or unsuccessful in past endeavors.
• Clarify which types of work give joy and energy and which types are draining and difficult
• Avoid making unfair and inaccurate judgments about one another’s motivation
• Alleviate guilt about struggles people have with certain types of work
• Improve dialogue and directives in team meetings
• Make quick and concrete adjustments to roles and responsibilities to better tap into one another’s strengths and avoid one another’s weaknesses.
• Get more done in less time.

Using the tools I have learned from Working Genius, I’ve been able to apply my natural gifts to help individuals and teams understand their strengths and identify their gaps, allowing them to be more productive, less frustrated and more fulfilled.

I facilitate 2 or 4 hour workshops during which you learn about your working genius and the genius of the team around you. The role this tool has in enhancing self and team awareness, enabling better decisions and more productive work has been a pleasure to bring to my work.
